The AOPCentral.US website will be maintained to house materials and information related to AOP products until 2/14/2018, at which time it will close.
The AOPCentral Facebook page will continue operating independently of the AOPA. Elizabeth Barham will share occasional news stories and information about events related to origin products in the U.S. and abroad on the Facebook page. If you wish to contact her, please use the Messenger function on the Facebook page.
The AOPA and AOPRF participated in a research and outreach project entitled American Origin Products and the TTIP: Collaboration for Rural Development from January 1, 2014 through April 29, 2016. A series of eight panels, shared via live-streamed webinars, were held in various cities across the U.S. The panels explored intellectual property issues related to geographical indications, or origin products. Differing views held by the EU and U.S. on how to best protect origin products (GIs) in trade were shared and contrasted.
Information on this project, and all materials and webinar videos produced, are available at this website maintained by the Center for Advanced Spatial Technologies at the University of Arkansas:
